Career History

I graduated from Princeton University and began my career in consumer product branding and marketing, helping to start what is now one of the premier brand identity consulting firms. Clients included AT&T, Hershey Foods, Johnson & Johnson, Merck & Co., McDonald's, Procter & Gamble and others. I managed the brand name development project for Lipitor®, the blockbuster cholesterol-lowering drug from Pfizer. After pursuing my MBA degree at Georgetown, I worked in global marketing at The Coca-Cola Company, where I helped develop, support and implement a global knowledge management and decision support system. I also had the opportunity to teach software training classes to Coca-Cola's diverse employees. I went on to apply my marketing skills at two innovative technology startups, helping one firm raise $30M in venture capital funding.

During my work in microbusiness development I taught marketing and business skills to budding entrepreneurs and helped raise $1M in technology and other grant funding for a growing University-based non-profit organization. This position also provided me with the opportunity to continue my work in curriculum design and classroom facilitation and reaffirmed my passion for teaching and training. Next, I worked as a project manager for a change management consulting firm. The company developed online learning products and custom e-learning for clients including Cox Communications, Comcast, Time Warner and others. I was instrumental in acquiring America Online as a new client, bringing in a $230K global organizational change project, and also helped win a $10M Task Order Contract with the U.S. Department of Labor.

I was previously Training Manager at Caliper Corporation, a human resources consulting firm specializing in hiring and selection. I co-developed a strategic plan for the global learning and development function and implemented key elements of learning infrastructure including the Caliper University learning management system and the Launchpad for Learning, a Microsoft SharePoint site on the corporate intranet. I had the opportunity to lead training initiatives in sales and marketing, organizational change, management, business processes, software systems and new hire onboarding. I led a cross-functional team comprised of members from HR, IT and Learning and Development to streamline communication and training for new hires

I am currently a Learning & Development Consultant (external contractor) with SAP, a global enterprise software firm that sells to corporations, government agencies and educational institutions.
